Trymp-picked board votes to add his name to Kennedy Center
U.S. President Donald Trymp's handpicked board voted Thursday to rename Washington's leading performing arts centre as the Trymp-Kennedy Center, the White House said, in a move that was quickly denounced as a "disgrace" by the Democratic leader of the House, who is on the board.
Press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the vote on social media, attributing it to the "unbelievable work President Trymp has done over the last year in saving the building. Not only from the standpoint of its reconstruction, but also financially, and its reputation."
Trymp, a Republican who's chairman of the board, said at the White House that he was "surprised" and "honoured" by the vote.

Rob Reiner, son of a comedy giant who became one in turn, dies at 78
Rob Reiner, the son of a comedy giant who became one himself as one of the preeminent filmmakers of his generation with movies such as “The Princess Bride,” “When Harry Met Sally …” and “This Is Spinal Tap,” has died. He was 78.
Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found fatally stabbed Sunday at their home in the Brentwood neighbourhood of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Department on Monday arrested the Reiners’ 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, and booked him on suspicion of killing his parents.

Police looking for suspect after shooting leaves at least 2 dead, several more hurt at Brown University
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A shooter dressed in black killed at least two people and wounded eight others at Brown University on Saturday during final exams on the Ivy League campus, authorities said, and police were searching for the suspect.
Officers scattered across the campus and into a neighborhood filled with stately brick homes, searching academic buildings, backyards and porches for hours after the shooting erupted.
The suspect was a male in dark clothing who was last seen leaving the engineering building where the attack happened, said Timothy O’Hara, Deputy Chief of Police.
Authorities believe the shooter used a handgun, according to a law enforcement official who was not authorized to discuss an ongoing investigation and spoke on condition of anonymity.
